Questions about domains

How long does it take to register a domain?
For most extensions, a few minutes after the payment is confirmed. The domain then appears in your account and you can configure it right away.
How do I move a domain I already own to BTU?
Unlock it at your current provider, ask for the EPP code (AuthCode) and start the transfer at BTU. The transfer is free and you keep the time you have left.
Will my details be public in WHOIS?
No. Personal data in WHOIS is protected in line with GDPR, at no extra cost.
Can I use the domain with BTU hosting or email?
Yes. From the DNS editor you can point the domain at hosting, business email or any other service. If your hosting is also at BTU, the settings are applied automatically.
How much does domain renewal cost, and what currency do I pay in?
You pay in euros (EUR). You see the renewal price ahead of the due date, and you get a fiscal invoice for every payment.
